unless otherwise stated.
January 19 - Program: Structure in the Garden by Pam Smith, DRS
This program is aimed at everyone as the topic applies to all gardens in general no matter what types of plants are grown.
February 16 - Program: Selecting Roses for Hot/Humid Climates by Matt Orwat, Texas A&M Extension Agent. This program is designed for rose growers of any level, beginner to advanced. People who are new to Texas will really benefit.
March 16 - Program: Europa-Rosarium in Sangerhausen, Germany, by Claude Graves, DRS. Claude will be speaking about the roses found at the Europa-Rosarian garden, in Sangerhausen, Germany. The park features 8,600 different rose species and varieties with a total of 80,000 rose bushes on display. This program would be of interest to everyone from rose growers to those who enjoy world travel.
April 20 - No meeting since it is Easter Sunday
May 18 - Program: Pat Shanley, Chairman, American Garden Rose Selections. This program is designed to educate people about the American Garden Rose Selections; what they do and how they can help rose growers of any level including people who want to grow roses but think they can't. Pat will be presenting via Zoom as she is based in New York.
June 15 - Program: Pending
July (No Meeting)
August 17 - Program: Bring Your Rose Questions. We will have a panel of several DRS members who are Master Consulting Rosarians and Consulting Rosarians who will answer any questions the public or members' wish to ask.
Designed to include all levels of rose growers.
September 21 - Program: Carolyn Hayward, DRS member will be speaking on Polyantha roses. Polyanthas are a type of rose that are known for their small, delicate flowers that bloom in clusters. They are a versatile, low-maintenance and disease-resistant rose that are suitable for gardeners of all skill levels.
October 19 - Fall Rose Show (Tentative)
