ROSES ROSES ROSES
The Dallas Rose Society is honored to host the 2022 SCD Convention during our Platinum Anniversary (70th) Year. We hope you will be able to join us and help us celebrate this significant milestone. The convention this year will be condensed, but still full of fun activities.
Friday evening will feature a casual dinner at Pam Smith house which is located near the convention site. It is a wonderful opportunity to socialize and reconnect with our rose friends.
Saturday morning the doors open at 6:00 am for The South Central District Rose Show located at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. It will contain a full slate of different horticulture and arrangement classes plus, new this year, a photography section.
Dallas area garden clubs and groups will display concurrently with the rose show.
A selection of crafts and demonstrations will be available for those interested while the SCD show is being judged.
The Awards and Recognition Banquet will be a catered buffet luncheon adjacent to the rose shows and it will be an occasion to recoup from a full morning of activities. This event resumes recognizing outstanding rosarians within the SCD.
The rose shows will be open for viewing after the luncheon and we will cap off the day with a cake cutting ceremony for everyone present.
