The Dallas Rose Society was founded in 1952 and is an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to the cultivation and enjoyment of roses. The Dallas Rose Society is one of 400 local chapters affiliated with the American Rose Society, and the ARS South Central District.

Most Dallas Rose Society members are home gardeners who enjoy growing roses and want to expand their knowledge of rose culture. Our monthly programs cover many topics of interest such as the history of roses, selection of roses, landscaping with roses, organic and inorganic fertilization and pest management, hybridization, growing, exhibiting, designing rose arrangements, research, and photography of roses.

Many of the members of the Dallas Rose Society have been designated as Consulting Rosarians, and have agreed to assist other rose growers with their rose problems and questions.

The Dallas Rose Society publishes 10 monthly newsletters for members, The Rose Petal. The newsletter includes monthly articles specifically written for rose care in the Dallas area.

The Dallas Rose Society meets on the 4th Friday of each month, (except July and December) at the Farmers Branch Recreation Center at 6:30 PM for refreshments and 7:00 PM for the program.
